“Johnaroo: A Concert to Benefit Autism Awareness” was held at Liberty’s American Bar and Grill in Tappan, N.Y. in January.
All proceeds benefited autism programming at the Bergen County YJCC. Liberty’s donated $1,000, 20% of its entire tab for the evening, with an additional $500 collected through donations.
The concert was organized by John Mabery, a YJCC staff member who runs autism programs, and produced by Something Electric Productions.
Groups performing at the benefit were FiKus, NeveroddoreveN, OssoTerro, HMS Revenge, and Hops. Shown in the check presentation photo are, l. to r., Alan Walsh, owner, Liberty’s; Gina Wellington, Director of Special Services, YJCC; John Mabery; Pete Kozak, Something Electric; and Stephen Malone, FiKus.
