After-school activities offer children a variety of opportunities to express their budding curiosity and explore their talents.

Youth basketball includes boys and girls from kindergarten through eighth grade. Basketball Bootcamps is an after-school program that works on improving all aspects of the game. YJCC Okinawan Karate is a year-round program for children, age 4 and up, through adults. Chief instructor Sensei Lisa Schwartz, Kyoshi, 7th Dan, provides an atmosphere of challenge, respect and fun. Fencing includes both foil and sabre classes for children age 8 and up. Fencing builds strategy skills, physical conditioning, coordination and concentration. Actors’ Workshop, offered periodically, enables students in grade 4 and up to indulge their passion, polish their skills and develop poise. Led by professional actor Geoffrey Cantor, classes may focus on improvisation, movement, monologue preparation and other acting crafts.
