There’s plenty for Tweens and Teens to do at the YJCC. Classes include fencing, swim team, piano, guitar, fitness, music, ceramics and fine art. Teens may prepare for college admission by taking college prep courses at the YJCC, and numerous opportunities for community service are available.
Tween Scene provides a Saturday-night-out experience from 7:30 to 9:30 pm for kids in grades 5, 6 and 7. They take over the YJCC, enjoying movies, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, snacks in the snack bar and just hanging out. 2009-2010 Tween Scene schedule: Sept. 26, Oct. 17, Dec. 12, Jan. 16, Feb. 6, Mar. 13 and 27, Apr. 17 (8:30-10:30), May 8 (8:30-10:30).
