Main Pool
6 lane, 25 yard (75’) competitive-style pool
3’6” to 5’6” deep
Average water temperature between 82-83 degrees
1 mile=72 lengths/36 laps
Diving is permitted only for instructional and competitive purposes under the supervision of a YJCC swim instructor or coach
Kiddie Pool
400 square feet
1’6” to 2’6” deep
Average water temperature 90-92 degrees
Closed when swim lessons are being conducted
Rules and Regulations
Children six and under must be accompanied by an adult (18 or older, who is a Y member) who is in the water with them at all times.
Children nine and older are allowed to be in the kiddie pool without an adult, but must be with an adult in the main pool. All children 12 and under must have an adult in the pool area at all times.
No street shoes, sneakers or strollers are permitted on the pool deck. Booties to cover your street shoes are available for sale from a lifeguard.
Disposable diapers are not permitted in either pool. Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers under their swimsuits and are not permitted in the main pool.
Inflatable toys, rafts, swimmies, tubes, etc. are not permitted in either pool.
Pool Schedule
Hours of operation:
6:00 am-9:40 pm Monday through Thursday
6:00 am-2:40 pm Friday
8:00 am-4:40 pm Sunday
Please note that Mondays through Thursdays through March 11, 2010, there will be only one lane available for lap swim due to Bergen Sharks Swim Team practice.
