The David Rukin Early Childhood Center Nursery School at the Bergen County YJCC offers a dynamic early childhood program that establishes a positive outlook on learning that lasts a lifetime. This fall, new early and late care options are being introduced to accommodate parents’ schedules.
Registration for the fall 2010 year for new families will be held on Sunday, January 10 at 9:30 a.m. at the YJCC, 605 Pascack Road, Township of Washington. Priority registration for currently registered children and their siblings is December 28-January 8. The YJCC Nursery School provides an exceptional, nurturing environment that promotes creative expression through the arts, music and language for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds. Reading and math readiness are encouraged based on each child’s growing interest. A creative approach to Judaic customs and holidays is an integral part of the curriculum. The fully accredited, experienced professional staff nurtures intellectual curiosity and social skills. Children use YJCC gym and indoor swimming pool under supervision of physical education and aquatics staff. The multi-generational atmosphere at the YJCC provides another dimension to this exceptional program.
Half, three-quarter and full school day programs are available. There is a wide array of after-school enrichment classes for children in the YJCC Nursery School, including cooking, karate, dance, art, science and sports.
Family membership at the YJCC is required for Nursery School enrollment.
