Exciting news: The Bergen County YJCC is now affiliated with Woodmont Day Camp, a private day camp in New City, New York. It has been our dream to offer amazing facilities, ball fields, heated outdoor pools, trails, playgrounds…Woodmont has all this and more!
Woodmont Day Camp (www.woodmontdaycamp.com) is located on 50 acres about 20 minutes from the YJCC. The camp’s motto, "where camp is family," mirrors our own philosophy and goals as a Jewish Community Center and as a leader in the Kehillah Partnership. Woodmont maintains a comfortable, fun environment for all campers; now it will encompass a Jewish experience as well.
The Woodmont Day Camp program begins with 3-year-olds and continues through 10th grader CIT's. The camp includes:
• Door-to-door, round-trip, air-conditioned transportation
• Towel service, lunch, fruit break and daily snack
• Full-size and mini tennis courts, Go-Karts, Bumper Boats, archery, Water Park and much more.
• There will be a financial incentive for Kehillah Partnership members (that’s you, as a YJCC member) to attend Woodmont Day Camp.
The YJCC will maintain its camp program in Washington Township as well this summer:
• KinderCamp for nursery school-age children.
• KidsCamp for school-age children, now available week-by-week.
• Specialty Camps in fencing, circus yoga, nature, super-pretend theater, cooking, ceramics, swimming and cheer/dance.
• Sports Camps in basketball, soccer and multi-sports.
• Actors' Workshop, now affiliated with The Performing Arts Conservatory.
• Teen Travel, 5-weeks long, now with community service opportunities. Israeli teens from Project Open Hearts, Open Homes join the teen travelers for 3 weeks.
• Camp Shalom for children and young adults with special needs.
• C.I.T. Program, for ages 14 and 15.
